These poems are for Kush

Beautiful Girl

Beautiful girl
Who can write code
Is more precious than rubies
Or her weight in Gold

Beautiful girl
Who can sit still and listen
Is an impossible treasure
Your life she can brighten

Beautiful girl
Who loves  the  words you write
Is around you somewhere
Just take time to align your sight

Beautiful girls
Are all around you
All you need my burnt out friend,
is to
Open your eyes.

  2. The poem is amazing. Use of the beautiful girl allowed the reader to fall into the words and desire of this poem. Thank you.

  3. Beauty is more than just a wrapping
Look inside… tis where the gold hides.
For that little flake or nugget found
You must sluice away unwanted ground.

    Gold is just commodity
Passed between hands of those in desire
To wear to impress other like minded
Or sell when the luster no longer shines.

    Carressing gold are other treasures
Of color, facets, size and shape
Gold is just a piece of yellow
Don’t let her other treasures escape.

Make use of all she has to offer
Sand and rock, mud and straw
Adobe’s passed to test of time
Build something that will last forever.
