I went on a whim to a dating website
Bored by loneliness and lacking foresight
I thought I would meet someone new
But weirdness stalked me all through

Some wanted sex, some wanted commitment
Everybody said what they wanted was a friend
It is hard not to think that’s not true
People telling lies before they even meet you

So I dialed down my expectations
Do I look lucky today
And I closed the dating website
And went my own way
